Country Festival Parchen

Good Morning, lovely people. Yesterday we were at the Country Festival in Parchen, Germany. It was a nice little festival with all kinds of activities for children and adults as well as a great stage program with lots of music and dance.

It was nice to be part of an event that is organized with so much love. I had a great time. Thanks for having me!

Short Trip to Dresden

Good Morning everyone. Yesterday we were for a short trip in Dresden.

It was not my first time in this city, but the first time I saw a horse playing piano on the street to collect money for it’s honey moon.

I didn’t even see a horse playing piano in Berlin, so I guess that must be something. 😉

Good Morning. Today in 2010 the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, was inaugurated in Dubai, UAE.

What I find most interesting about this building is not it’s height of 829.8 meters, but the fact, that it contains pieces of Berlin:

About 35’000 tons of steel on the upper floors are recycled steel from the demolished Palace of the Republic in Berlin. (Source)

Isn’t this amazing? Just as the view from the building:

On a clear day the top of the building can be seen from over 100 kilometers away.

While it may look like the moon, this photograph was taken at the White Desert near Bahareya Oasis. The white surfaced desert which resembles an alien planet has been used to film Sci-Fi movies, including Vin Diesel’s Riddick. The desert is renowned for its rock formations, safari trips, and over night camping.
